Nuclear Power Plant in the Backyard | Energy

Hyperion Power Generation wants to bring a unique, small, modular, non-weapons grade nuclear power reactor to market. The concept was originally conceived as a clean, affordable solution to power mining and industrial operations such as the retorting of oil sands and shale. The power modules should be a perfect alternative for those communities that, for security, reliability, or financial reasons, desire to be independent of their local utility’s power source. Equally important is the ability to bring heat for industrial uses and electricity for infrastructure and homes to remote locations with no reasonable access to reliable energy.

Do they really think we can solve our problems this way? What are you gonna do with all the waste material? Yeah, you do not need your grill anymore for a bbq. That is great news, not?
